Pocono 500

Andy and I trekked up to the Pocono 500 on Sunday. It was hot! It was still a fun event and I'm glad I got to see a really high speed Nascar race. We were near the end of the huge front stretch, so the cars were really moving when they went by our seats. We also were up high and could see pretty much the entire track. It's hard to imagine how big Pocono is when you're watching on TV.

Kasey Kahne had the best car by far and won despite a huge screw-up in the the pits. The front tire changer took off 3 lugnuts on the front left tire after the crew chief made a last minute change to two right-side tires only. They had to come back in to replace the lugnuts, so he moved all the way to the back of the pack. It was fun watching him work his way back to the front, and there were so many different fuel mileage strategies that it got hard to tell who was going to win until Kasey took the lead for good with about 12 laps to go.

Here's some pictures I took before the race...

Ron Paul Petition Signing

I helped to organize a Ron Paul Petition Signing event in Langhorne, PA tonight. It was a big success and a lot of fun to boot. It was great to meet all the other avid Ron Paul supporters in the area. We collected about 75 signatures to place Dr. Paul and his delegates on the republican primary ballot.

If you live in Bucks County and are a Ron Paul supporter, please come join us at the Ron Paul Bucks County Meetup Group.

Here's a picture of the signing in action!
